12 Siblings Happy To Receive Contributions in ‘Program Jejak Asnaf UMP’

 

Islamic Centre & Human Development (PIMPIN) together with Matahari and UMP Advanced Education (UAE) organised "Jejak Asnaf Fakir Miskin" Program on July 11, 2015 to help those who are poor and needy.

This program gives opportunity to campus community to join hands in hands to donate basic need such as food, cloth and other necessities of life, and also for hari raya celebration to those needy and less fortunate people for them to feel the joy of celebrating Aidil Fitri.

Nur Juaini Mohd Husni, student from Faculty of Chemical & Natural Resource Engineering, was very delighted to receive the donation among many other recipients. She lives in PPR Seri Alam flat, Kuala Lumpur, with her big family consisting of 12 members age 4 to 19 years old, most of them are still studying while their father doing small businesses to support the family.

UMP Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dato' Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim said, throughout the fasting month of Ramadhan, this program managed to identify more than 20 poor and needy family in Pekan and Kuantan to receive the donation.

Besides the donation, Professor Dato' Dr. Daing Nasir Ibrahim and wife Datin Fazia Ali also treats them for iftar at one of the well-known restaurants in Kuala Lumpur.
