UMP Received 70 Thousand Zakat to Help Students in Need

 

In carrying out its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Etiqa Takaful Berhad contributed RM70 thousand to Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) in an effort to help ease the burden of students who are experiencing financial problems during their study at the university.


The replica of the cheque was presented by Vice President, Head of East Coast Branch, Etiqa Insurance and Takaful, Tengku Saiffudin Tengku Zainal Abidin to Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Professor Dr. Zainuddin Yuserrie in Majlis Penyerahan Zakat Pelajar UMP dan Berbuka Puasa organized by Etiqa Takaful Berhad Kuantan Branch on 18 July 2013.


This contribution is part of the agency's efforts in fulfilling the responsibility of helping poor students who are currently pursuing thier studies at UMP.


Students who have been identified are eligible to receive contribution not only in cash but the help also cover tuition fees, books, computer, medical and health equipment according to the needs of students.
